One of two problems prevents me from completing the installation. One attempt results in a message telling me I need to "Assign Disk Labels Before Continuing". The problem is I don't know which disk or how to assign the labels. I cannot find a screen or utility or menu selection which lets me do this. Could you please tell me what I need to do here? I am waiting for the installation manual to arrive via snail mail but I would like to make some progress meanwhile. The other problem is that the installation procedures cannot find the CDROM drive. I watch the boot process for BSD and I can see where the CD is detected but after going through the menu selections under 'novice' the install process reports that no cdrom has been installed. I have tried a Hitachi 4X IDE, a Sony CDU33A on its own proprietary card and the Sony using the CD interface on a Zoltrix sound card. I have even used the '-c' boot option to explicitly tell BSD where the CD is located. It still reports that a CD cannot be found after it reports the device during boot and selecting the novice installation. I have tried each of the installation methods on the CD and have run out of options. Please help! Thank you, Trevor Johnson oceans@nfld.com
