I am a little disorient[at]ed albeit I have made a few efforts to=20 track the [endless] discussion of the past few days :-) My understanding was that the build/installkernel procedure served the=20 purpose of making **major** transitions possible, whether or not a=20 major RELEASE upgrade was involved; whereas the well-known "classical"=20 procedure could be used in all other cases/situations. In particular,=20 the "classical" procedure could be employed after ordinary source=20 upgrades. From now on, am I supposed to be systematically using "make=20 build/installkernel each and every time I cvsup my sources ? What=20 [have I missed/] am I missing ?=20 Thanks in advance & best regards, Salvo To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
