Could you specify "too big"? Too big, because the fonts are too big perhaps? In that case, try specifying the exact size of your display device (i.e. monitor), so XFree86 can correctly calculate the resolution of your screen in DPI: > Section "Monitor" > Identifier "Monitor0" > VendorName "Monitor Vendor" > ModelName "Monitor Model" DisplaySize width height > HorizSync 30.0 - 85.0 > VertRefresh 50.0 - 120.0 Width and height are the the horizonal and vertical dimensions of your monitor's *visible* screen area in millimeters. Those can be usually found in the technical data sheet of your monitor's manual, if you don't have that available you'll have to employ a tape measure. :-) If that still yields too big fonts/windows, you probably should adjust the fontsizes in the respective applications directly, but you can also fudge the values to influence the calculated DPI. -- ,_, | Michael Nottebrock | lofi@freebsd.org (/^ ^\) | FreeBSD - The Power to Serve | http://www.freebsd.org \u/ | K Desktop Environment on FreeBSD | http://freebsd.kde.org [-- Attachment #2 --] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBCX/qNXhc68WspdLARAqxgAKCrTH8V+Q4PEsDvrbtpJoDv8BGmAQCfcE2m nFuhimt9Cw8oL6jDmvCeSLc= =r3SZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
