Hi.
I would like some help with FreeBSD installation. I have set it up, I =
think correctly, & get to the stage, of installing the bin.aa, etc =
disks. At this stage, I get an error message. My question is, how do I =
install these 13 bin.aa, etc, disks? At this stage, I can reboot the =
system, & it boots OK, and gets to the BOOT prompt, & scrolls every 5 =
seconds or do. Typing anything at the Boot rompt, brings up, "Can't find =
Kernel".I have downloaded fdimage.exe, & all 66 bin.xx files, plus =
boot.flp. I have created the boot floppy, and put 5 bin.xx files into a =
A:\bin directory.( All bin.xx files occupy 13 disks).
My computer is a 486DX/100, with 8 meg of ram. It has a 200 meg H/drive, =
(C:>) the whole of which is to be dedicated to FreeBSD. I have a second =
80 meg H/drive, (D:>) at present unused.
I stsrted to download the Manpages.aa, etc, files, are these necessary, =
at this stage?
Are there other files I require? I confess, I am stymied, & being not =
familiar with this system, makes things difficult. Can you help me, =
please?
