I may be wrong, it was time ago, but I think I've seen they doing some timer stuff within each interrupt handler. FreeBSD neither has unified place to do it now, nor I much like to add some overhead to every possible interrupt in a system. Present implementation supposed to be a compromise. -- Alexander Motin
