It must have a daemon allowing on-demand scan: submit a file name to the daemon, it has all the virus definition preloaded and can immediately scan the file without any pre-processing time wasted. This is to be included in amavisd-new. So far I have been using Kaspersky, but the newer version that run on freeBSD 6 and 7 do not include the kavdaemon anymore. Best regards, Olivier
