I have a S3 Virge GX2 in said port and the only way to install XFree86 is to use the unsupported option. This is ok but it tends to default to 320x180 res at 8bpp. I also get core dumps when running vidtune. All manor of forcing via the config file does not appear to work. It appears to be running at 800x600 in the graphical setup screen which is wierd. Any ideas? ps I'm fairly new to Linux.
