why xemacs? well, from my experience w/ (x)emacs during stay at
university, emacs had too big default font (like large print book
editions), and xemacs used to have smaller font (like stock listings
or classifieds in newspaper).  in addition, i wasn just plain
unaware of any other emacs-like editors.

anyway, i will checkout other smaller editors from the ports.

i had installed plain xemacs21, twice, w/o any problems w/o
RUN_DEPENDS.  is that what you wanted to know, mike, or something
else?
