https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D268734 Bug ID: 268734 Summary: mail/balsa Balsa port severely outdated Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Reporter: thomholwerda@osnews.com Assignee: gnome@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gnome@FreeBSD.org) I noticed that the FreeBSD Balsa port is severely outdated - ports has vers= ion 2.5.1, which is a few months shy of ten years old. There have been more tha= n 10 new releases since, with the latest being 2.6.4, released on 2022-09-20. It seems rather dangerous to have such an old version still readily available = to users as a port/pkg. This applies to all architectures FreeBSD and mail/bal= sa is available on. This is most likely the entirely wrong place to report this, but I have no = idea where else to do so, and it does seem to qualify as a bug insofar running s= uch an old version is inherently dangerous, especially considering countless ne= wer versions are available as part of the GNOME project. Feel free to scold me if this is the wrong place! It's difficult sometimes = to find the right avenue of contact. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
