(try 1) but I kinda sent it to the owner I think... *chuckle* that is what the previous "ooops" was about... ok... stuck, as in... no more Xcalibur, noone on the network can connect to it... it does not exist... well, some times if you leave a telnet long enough to it, after 3 + minutes it gives you the ^] thing to tell you you can disconnect with it.. but nothing more... no, pinging fails... no pinging allowed in or out when it gets stuck... no, if you are sitting in the Xcalibur console when that happens you get isolated from the network... and if you are lucky enough to have gotten into Fciencias before Xcalibur falls... you still have access out of Fciencias, but dont try to check your files cuz you get stuck... (remember... nfs, the files are in the Xcalibur hard drive), and if you try to connect to Fciencias from the outside... well, you cant(remember the nis thing... all the users and passwds are kinda inside Xcalibur) what else? hmmm > >> After a few minutes, things get back to normal, but its >> pretty annoying to not be able to log into Fciencias, >> cuz its the main mail server and web server and other >> stuff. > >Either xcalibur is going south or your network is going south. South? what do you mean south? we are already south... we are in Baja... hmm? yep, yep, I mentioned that too on the previous nis/nfs try... but it went to... someone else... I guess... *chuckle* yes, we get lots of log entires... something about server unreachable... or... something... and something about someone alive. I dont remember the logs... let me check... ok, after erasing login failures, popper errors... etc... we have something like this...
