OK, so I'm trying to follow the instructions in the handbook:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/makeworld.html
, and failed repeatedly.  Everything appears to go OK, except
"mergemaster -p" seems to fail with some variable errors, and "make
installworld" fails with the error:
