Would it be possible to add a configuration option to a Makefile to tell
make to ignore the -j option? There's other things that, from what I
understand, shouldn't be made with -j, such as make depend when compiling
the kernel (though, I've heard both sides of that argument). It seems
that being able to put in the makefile whether a certain section could
be parallelized would save a lot of people a lot of headaches.
