Hi Marc, Sounds like either an unformatted ot a defective floppy. Make sure DOS can write to the floppy. The floppy should be DOS formated. In DOS, can you copy a file to the floppy and read it? Try 'copy autoexec.bat a:\' and then 'type a:\autoexec.bat'. Does this work? tomdean LT, USN (Ret.)
