The following reply was made to PR ports/156343; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Rory Frantz <rory4@cox.net> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, thomas@gibfest.dk Cc: Subject: Re: ports/156343: multimedia/xbmc 10.1_1 mp3 playback problem - CALSADirectSound::GetSpace - get space failed. err: -32 (Broken pipe) Date: Wed, 26 Oct 2011 00:58:01 -0700 This should still be an open issue. DVDPlayer should not be the default audio player per the xbmc documentation. It lacks many features (like replaygain support) that a good audio player should have. If anyone is able to successfully use PAPlayer with xbmc on FreeBSD please contact me. I want to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Thanks, Rory
