Archie, Most of the mini-PCI ethernet cards I have seen (virtually, through this list) are using a bit of memory in the 0xd0000-0xd3ffff range. Try adjusting your pccard memory up to 0xd4000 or 0xd8000. You can probably find plenty of details if you search this list for 0xd8000. I posted something within the last week, amongst others. You need to update rc.conf, and possibly your kernel. [See another posting of mine if you don't want to rebuild your kernel, and wish to use kernel.conf instead.] Greg -----Original Message----- >I just replaced a Mini-PCI card (modem only) in an IBM ThinkPad >A20m with a modem+Ethernet one, and now my PC-Card slot has stopped >working properly. > >It works under Win98.. and I've tried playing with BIOS interrupt >settings to no avail. > >pccardd complains "No card in database for "(null)"("(null)")" and >"pccardc dumpcis" shows a bunch of garbage. > >Any ideas? dmesg below. > >I'm not sure how adding another PCI device would screw up the >PC-Card stuff, but somehow it has. > >Thanks, >-Archie > >_______________________________________________________________________ ___ >Archie Cobbs * Packet Design * http://www.packetdesign.com > >Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project. >Copyright (c) 1979, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 > The Regents of the University of California.
