I would recommend the use of Partition Magic to shrink the Windows partition by as much space as you want for your partition file. If you Defrag your Windows partition PM can reclaim most of the unused space. Of course, many of the people on this list would recommend fdisk and 100% shrinkage :) Remember that the hibernation file/partition is usually bigger than the RAM installed, to allow for storage of video RAM etc. On my TP600 the FILE on Win95 C drive is 290MB, which probably corresponds to 288MB system RAM + 2MB video RAM. I haven't played with an IBM hibernation PARTITION *, but on other machines with Phoenix BIOS the phdisk.exe utility reported how much space it needed when it was short. HTH, Greg * I cannot verify that a single version of the BIOS will accept both files and partitions because I haven't tried it. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
