Ok, I upgraded all of our servers this weekend and I've got problems
with one of them. It's been panicking and randomly rebooting.
Previously it was pretty solid.
I suspected that it was the RAM so it was changed. The machine
continues. I've compiled the kernel with debugging and invariant
checking and hooked up a serial cable to the console.
Here is the latest panic...
Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode
mp_lock = 00000002; cpuid = 0; lapic.id = 00000000
fault virtual address = 0x1a
fault code = supervisor read, page not present
instruction pointer = 0x8:0xc016ecbe
stack pointer = 0x10:0xff807e10
frame pointer = 0x10:0xff807e20
code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b
= DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1
processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL = 0
current process = Idle
interrupt mask = <- SMP: XXX
trap number = 12
panic: page fault
mp_lock = 00000002; cpuid = 0; lapic.id = 00000000
boot() called on cpu#0

dpt0: Controller was warned of shutdown and is now disabled
Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on the console to abort
Rebooting...

cpu_reset: Stopping other CPUs
Does anyone have more insight into what may be happening here? I'm at
the point of buying a new mobo, PS, CPUs and RAM.
