https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D207282 Bug ID: 207282 Summary: news/nzbget: init script should allow different user than root Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: lebel@lebel.org CC: toxic@doobie.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(toxic@doobie.com) CC: toxic@doobie.com Created attachment 167114 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D167114&action= =3Dedit example of an init script the script for starting/stopping nzbget should be more "rc.subr" friendly if one wants to run nzbget as a non-root user (as it should). In this sample, I put "nobody"/"nobody", but one could create a user named nzbget with proper group. Optionally, the package should create a user nzbget if non exists and use t= hat in the initscript. Anyway. Just a suggestion. I manually replace the script with each update since the package overwrites it. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
