https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D259807 Bug ID: 259807 Summary: net/openldap25-server: slapd.ldif.sample has incorrect argsfile/pidfile settings Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: delphij@FreeBSD.org Reporter: parakleta@darkreality.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(delphij@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: delphij@FreeBSD.org The olcArgsFile: and oclPidFile: settings in slapd.ldif.sample do not match= the paths available after install. These settings are correct in the slapd.conf file (i.e. /var/run/openldap/.= ..), but the use of slapd.conf is deprecated and swapping to the provided slapd.= ldif file leads to unexpected errors. I was also caught off guard by the requirement to add the back_mdb.la modul= e.=20 While it is documented in https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/network-servers/#network-ldap it would be nice if this module was loaded by default in the provided configuration files (or alternatively built into openldap) so that it would= be easier to follow the official openldap.org configuration documentation. Thanks. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
