>Description:
cutdown version of dmesg:
ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0
ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0
Type: "rndcontrol -s 14" as root
Type: "find / -name blahblah" as root
^C and ^Z don't work
System hangs for a long period of time with the message:
---
ad1: WRITE command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting
ata0: resetting devices.. ad0: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 cable or device
done
---- this message repeats over and over
On my computer system I have Win98SE on ad0 and FreeBSD-4.10 on ad1.
Another problem I think I have discovered is that if I type:
rndcontrol -s 15
to set hard-disk interrupts from the FreeBSD disk, nothing happens and
it just "doesn't work" - but I'd have to double check that.
If you want more information contact me at above email address.
