I'm guessing you have a internal modem set to dos com2, I say this because
your dmesg (probe messages) show different uart for sio0 & 1. If your bios
lets you diable the com port your modem is set to, do. Read the handbook and
FAQ, there is a lot on this subject. Make sure you have editted your /etc
ttys and remote file correctly. Then do a hard-wired connection tip to your
modem, like tip cuaa1b or such ( look at the bottom of the remote file ).
It should say `connected', at gives ok, you get the idea? Proceed from
there.
