This patch won't work as advertised:

On Mon, 29 Jan 2001, FreeBSD Security Advisories wrote:

That should be /usr, otherwise it will fail to patch.

> # patch -p < /path/to/patch

Then you need to cd /usr/src/usr.sbin/inetd

> # make depend && make all install
> # killall -HUP inetd
