FreeBSD uses a VMSPACE = SWAPSPACE + REALMEM model. AFAIK it has been stated quite explicitly by the Solaris folks that Solaris 2.x uses VMSPACE = SWAPSPACE + REALMEM. This is *different* from SunOS 4.1.x.
