i usually use portmaster with the -P option... the following packages gave me trouble and i had to omit the -P option individually for each of those packages to move on on getting thing installed:

textproc/p5-XML-Parser-2.36_1 - when installed as a package from repository it can't be found by branch and leaf ports
textproc/p5-XML-SAX-Expat-0.40 - when installed as a package from repository and when installing a branch or a leaf port, the error is that SAX.pm cannot be found at @INC
textproc/p5-XML-Simple-2.18 - when installed as a package from repository the error message suggests to reinstall this port because the existing installation is corrupted
