I'm trying to learn to use my shell to it's full potential. In reading the man page for tcsh, I see that I can search the history for a command. However, I don't understand what keystrokes I need to use to search. From the man page: history-search-backward (M-p, M-P) So how do I enter "M-p"? What does it really want? If it matters, I am using SecureCRT with VT-100 emulation. Thanks, Drew To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
