Hello! I've got the Diva Mp3 Player with USB interface. The player has function Win2k recognizes it as 'USB Mass storage device' and sets it as general 'Removable disk' with FAT filesystem. Then I've tried to connect my Mp3 Player from my FreeBSD 4.3-Stable. There is a dmesg while booting with the player: _____________________________ FreeBSD 4.4-PRERELEASE #3: Mon Aug 13 21:01:37 EEST 2001 ... usb0: <Intel 82371AB/EB (PIIX4) USB controller> on uhci0 usb0: USB revision 1.0 uhub0: Intel UHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered umass0: Philips product 0x1801, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 2 umass0: Get Max Lun not supported (STALLED) .... da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 da0: <DIVA USB Media Reader 2.06> Removable Direct Access SCSI-0 device da0: 650KB/s transfers da0: 62MB (127232 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 62C) ... But I failed to do anything with this device!:( I've tried 'mount_msdos /dev/da0', 'mount_msdos /dev/da0s1' and even 'hd /dev/da0', and have got such error message: _____________________________ umass0: Phase Error, residue = 0 umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED umass0: Phase Error, residue = 0 umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED umass0: Phase Error, residue = 0 umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED umass0: Phase Error, residue = 0 umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED umass0: Phase Error, residue = 0 umass0: BBB reset failed, STALLED da0: reading primary partition table: error reading fsbn 0 After disconnecting and reconecting I've got message on console: __________________________________________________ umass0: at uhub0 port 2 (addr 2) disconnected (da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): lost device (da0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): removing device entry umass0: detached uhub0: device problem, disabling port 2 --------------------------------------------------- and no action can be done with it:( Can I hope of enabling my player/Flash_card_reader on FreeBSD?
