To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Two days ago, my modem was fried by lightning. Now I have a modem blaster, by DSI. It's PnP ISA. I've done what the faq says, I've searched the mailing lists, and I've tried several things. I haven't been able to fix this. Can anyone help me? I hate this, and what's worse is all I have is windows95 in 16 colors until I can get my freebsd working. Thanks, please reply privately, I'm using yahoo mail since I have no e-mail client for windows. Here are the parts from my dmesg: Probing for PnP devices: CSN 1 Vendor ID: DMB2001 [0x0120a211] Serial 0xffffffff Comp ID: @@@0000 [0x00000000] sio4: configured irq 10 not in bitmap of probed irqs 0 sio4: probe failed sio4 (siopnp sn 0xffffffff) failed to attach This is not a winmodem, I'm pretty sure of that. It is a modem blaster V.90 from DSI, a subsidiary of Creative. Thanks, and please reply privately. I'm hoping to fix it by luck somehow or someone telling me how, the store is closed so I can't make another exchange until tomorrow. Thanks. _____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
