It takes about 90 seconds--very annoying. The 1st time I brought it up, the list suggested that this is caused by reverse dns. I would like to turn off this feature cuz it makes this server useless. The server is in dns, but the machines that connect to it are not--nor will they ever be--they are dhcp assigned ips. I need to turn off this reverse dns crap globally, but maybe I have to set that manually for each service--I'm not sure. Thanks for any help in this matter. Doug.
