I didn't like netstart in BSDi, even if it was nice to be separate, and sysconfig didn't make BSD sense to me in FBSD. >If this meets with general approval, I then (boy scout's honor) >promise to also write (and commit with the rest of the stuff) an >rc.conf(8) man page which contains the much longer and more detailed >information that sysconfig used to but which also made sysconfig >unreadable and that much more difficult to customize. IMHO, all the comments *did* make it unreadable, which I supposed would make people read the man page (right, why is RTFM used? ;) and make bulletproofing things less of a problem. Have to admit the comments are nice, but if they are in the man page, but kept reasonably short. After all there are pages for what rc is setting. I grew up (yah) on BSDi, so I'm used to it. >Everything is also relative to 2.2.1 here since that's what I test >with.
