We've spoken about the Volano benchmark in the past (I'm the guy that created it), and I've had very good luck with TYA personally, and have been using it for ~9 months. I'm running it on my box, and I see a 25% speedup, which is still not a monsterous speedup, but it's better than nothing. However, others have noted that OpenJIT also works well, although I don't have any personal experience using it. > > Should I > > run the Blackdown Linux JDK 1.2.2 RC 4 on FreeBSD or wait for the native > > JDK 1.2.2 port: For now, I'd got with the Linux JDK, since I doubt you'll see a binary release of the native port in the near future.
