I've compiled the kernel so that it recognizes my ethernet card, set the hostname in /etc/rc.conf, and configured the /etc/hosts file. I can ping localhost just fine; but, when I go to ping the IP address of the host I get: ping: sendto: No route to host I'm assuming that there's at least one thing I haven't done that I should have. Is there some documentation describing the steps I should be following? If not, could someone fill me in (assuming that's not a huge job). Thanks for any input. ... doug _____________________________________________________________________ Doug Jolley mailto://doug@bigwheel.net http://www.bigwheel.net Don't bogart that file, my friend.
