I've got a Sony VAIO F270 laptop running 3.3-STABLE. It has a touchpad on it. I couldn't get the "tapping" to work. So I recompiled with the forcetap flag set. Now the tapping works--erratically. 8( However, I've noticed a few things. First, If I put the system into standby or suspend mode, the mouse behaves correctly when I bring the the system back from either mode. Second, if I attach an external mouse to the system, the external mouse behaves correctly but the touchpad still misbehaves. Now, I seem to recall a discussion about this sometime in the near past either in -current or -mobile. I can't honestly remember what the subject strings were, so my searches of the archives have been fruitless. Any clues on this one? --Jerry name: Jerry Alexandratos || Open-Source software isn't a phone: 302.593.4322 || matter of life or death... email: darkstar@udel.edu || ...It's much more important || than that!
