Upon rebooting, I realized that my GENERIC file did not reflect my original configuration. As an example, my ethernet card was not configured. So in order to correct this, I did the following:- - I noticed a compiled (?) kernel called /kernel.old which I booted off. ( On the boot screen, I typed wd(0, a) kernel.old I then had my old (desired) configuration back - I listed the boot details using dmesg and kept the output - I used the dmesg output details to change the kernel configuration file, rebuilt and booted. It worked!!! Thanks to Doug White for the advice. Regards, Pradesh Chanderpaul To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
