If you want a book I suggest "Learning the Bash Shell" by Camerin Newham & Bill Rosenblatt. Well worth its $35 asking price- putting it to good use will save you hours of your valuable time. IMHO learning a shell is the first step to using any **ix OS effectively. You can also use on-line resources but for me a book is best David David system
