I downloaded the relevant patch and .asc files to /tmp this am, and then execute patch /tmp/filedesc.patch It just sits there, I let it sit for a good 20 minutes, it really shouldnt take that long. I also tried it with the -p switch, it appears that was the norm in some searches I found.
