It * gets as far as the configure script, and when it gets to the part when it * scans for a "working mmap" it locks up the system so tight I have to * press the little button on the front of the case. Just wanted to tell you that the exact same thing happened to me when I was compiling pdksh on thud, running a fairly recent -current. When it got to the "checking for working mmap", it just hang. No answers to ping or anything. I don't know what the status it is now, nobody at WC seems to have the time to take a look at thud.... Satoshi
