I have a problem booting (and, of course, installing) FreeBSD 2.2.5 on the following hardware: Unisys EISA system with 3COM 3C579 Etherlink III controller (is detected) Adaptec 2740 (twin channel) SCSI controller (is detected, too) 32 MB Ram P5/60 CPU 2 serial 1 parallel ATI Graphics Ultra Pro graphic board with 2 MB of VRAM Quantum Fireball 2.1 GB disk (is found during SCSI bus scan) Toshiba CD-ROM (special Sun version, is found, too) All seems to be fine, i.e. all the hardware is detected, etc. However after showing npx0: INT 16 interface a message ahc0: brkadrint, Illegal Host access at seqaddr = 0x0 appears on the console and that's it. It doesn't matter whether the external Toshiba CD-ROM mentioned above is connected or not. The behaviour is exactly the same. The system will not proceed any further. For what it's worth: This system did run with FreeBSD 1.1.5 years ago. It would be very nice to get some help from you SCSI-experts. Thanks in advance Norbert Bladt. -- Norbert Bladt Payphone Management System Software Development ascom Autelca AG Worbstrasse 201 CH-3073 Guemligen, Switzerland abladtn@autelca.ascom.ch VOICE: +41 31 999 6552, FAX: +41 31 999 6575 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
