Alternatively, get hold of an intelligent switching hub and map mrtg to read snmp info from the hub ports instead. It is the way we work here in Malta... No universal solution is totally free. From the sound of it however, I think you need to invest in some scaleable stackable switch product which will allow a large number of hosts to use your underutilized bandwidth... and charge per usage via the reporting of your mrtgrapher... :-) -- Christopher Martin BDM -KeyWORLD http://www.keyworld.net ---------- > From: Paul Stewart > To: freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: Tracking machine bandwidth > Date: Sunday, June 14, 1998 5:24 PM > > HI there... > > We are looking at getting into co-location for a number of clients > currently (we are using about 15% of our bandwidth in peak times, kind of > a waste). > > Our problem is that we need to track the daily/monthly bandwidth used by a > customer's box that we will have no root access to or worse yet, might be > an NT box.
