Hmm. We currently have 2 versions of pine running on the system since we
are in the middle of upgrading from one to the other. We have both 3.96
and 3.95. The problem occurs with 3.96 more often than it does with 3.95.
However, I've noticed that if the mail boxes are changed into maildir
format (only with 3.96) then the problem seems to stop.
