XFree86 has _more_ different programs of the same type, and it is not a separate category. Neither is iv. Neither is fvwm. kde is bigger than fvwm (tho about the same number of parts), but I don't see that kde really requires it's own dir. I tend to think we ought to handle kde like XFree86.
