I have the same situation here, but not the same hardware: atapci0: <Intel ICH7 SATA300 controller> port 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6,0x170-0x177,0x376,0x3020-0x302f mem 0xe8200000-0xe82003ff irq 19 at device 31.2 on pci0 ad0: 76319MB <SAMSUNG HD080HJ ZH100-47> at ata0-master SATA150 This drive is withtout the jumper, which according to the manual means it should operate as SATA300 (while with jumper plugged, it is limited to SATA150).
