Is your DNS set up correctly ?  You can ``enable dns'' in ppp to get 
it to try to set things up automatically (depends on the facilities 
offered by your ISP).  Otherwise, make sure /etc/resolv.conf has the 
correct entries - check the man pages.

Lastly, if you're still having problems (and it's not a dns thing), 
try turning off tcp extensions in /etc/rc.conf - it may make things 
better.
