I'm having a strange error message regarding the use of a Promise ATA66 controller and a 20GB IBM UDMA66 Hard Drive. I've included my dmesg with this email. Anyways, this Hard Drive works perfectly as far as I know, but during startup, I get this... ad4: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting ata2: resetting devices .. done ad4: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting ad4: trying fallback to PIO mode ata2: resetting devices .. done Anyone have any idea what this is message means, or a solution to it?
