Hi, I've been using the 2.2.5 release for a while, and I've decided to go STABLE (too many upgrades so far). As I have only the 225CD I did the instalation of the 2.2.8 release with a passive ftp (slow but painless), and the machine is running perfectly (this one actually). The next step was to cvsup it to 2.2-STABLE, but no luck. The machine is behind a strict firewall and cvsup connections are unsuccessful. I don't have an account outside so I cannot use ssh. Then I've tried anoncvs: CVSROOT=anoncvs@anoncvs.freebsd.org:/cvs CVS_RSH=ssh And it was working quite well untill: S-> checkout (/cvs/src/share/dict/web2,v, 1.4.2.1, , web2) cvs [server aborted]: can not allocate 2486905 bytes Can I avoid the allocation problem in cvs? I can do it nightly, and the bandwidth is not a real problem, neither disk space. And besides I feel quite confortable working with cvs. Is there any other possibility with cvsup?? Is there any free account somewhere so I can create a tunnel? Known cvsup servers working with any other port number? Thank you, I have faith... -- Marc Solsona Palomar || mailto: marc.solsona@research.nokia.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
