It is true that I have not put endianess code in savecore, but that was only due to lacking a test-case for it, certainly not for lack of the ability. The format of the header is not architecture dependent, it is the same 512 bytes of the same exact layout on all architectures. Text is nice and well for exchanging information, but it is _not_ the _only_ way to do so. Some times text is a very cumbersome way to do it, such as, in my opinion, this one. And if the ELF format Marcel has committed is indeed the defacto coredump format these days, then all you are arguing is to change the color of the ribbon around the package, and quite frankly, if you think your time is well spent on that: be my guest. But be my guest _only_ when you have commitable code, not by saying "Everybody STOP!
