	Fair enough.  But if the "make update" process updated them only 
if the version of the port changed, and only if the relevant 
README.html file was present, then this would make everyone happy -- 
right?

	People who don't want these files left lying around could do a 
one-time "find /usr/ports -name README.html -print | xargs rm -f" (or 
whatever), and they'd never again have to worry about these files 
being updated (or created) during the "make update" process.

	I'll try to tease out what all is done during a "make update", 
and then see if I can figure out how to modify that to update the 
README.html files if they are present.

	I'd like to be able to at materially contribute *something* to 
the project, even if it is something as relatively unimportant as 
this....
