--- Comment #22 from Adam Jimerson <vendion@gmail.com> ---
I'm running into this issue as well

FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p4
GENERIC kernel, amd64
X.Org X Server 1.18.4
vgapci0@pci0:10:0:0:    class=3D0x030000 card=3D0x24601462 chip=3D0x6719100=
2 rev=3D0x00
hdr=3D0x00
    vendor =3D 'Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]'
    device =3D 'Cayman PRO [Radeon HD 6950]'
    class      =3D display
    subclass   =3D VGA

I've tried installing the drm-kmod (and thus drm-stable-kmod) ports and add=
ing
the following to my /etr/rc.conf

kld_list=3D"/boot/modules/radeonkms.ko"

But I'm still getting the same error, for now I rolled back to the previous=
 ati
driver.
