Now it seems as if again something is broken. On the other hand my system also changed. My new computer has more usb hubs, maybe this is a show stopper here. I remember somebody mentioning that "usb subdevices" (don't remember exact term) are not supported with kernel/libusb ?? usbdevs command shows: addr 1: OHCI root hub, nVidia addr 1: OHCI root hub, nVidia addr 3: Canon Digital Camera, Canon Inc. addr 2: Protected Executer, Syncrosoft addr 1: EHCI root hub, nVidia But I cannot detect any camera using gphoto.
