The mount command fails with the error message: # mount_cd9660 -v -o ro -o noauto -v /dev/acd0c /cdrom using starting sector -801124097 acd0: READ_BIG - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=21 ascq=00 error=04 mount_cd9660: /dev/acd0c: Input/output error Note the negative starting sector. Today I cvsup-ed again, but I keep getting the same error. After providing the '-s 0' option, it is possible to mount CDs: # mount_cd9660 -v -o ro -o noauto -s 0 -v /dev/acd0c /cdrom Dec 9 18:23:59 Abel /kernel: cd9660: RockRidge Extension # The following sysctls are set: # sysctl -a | grep '\.ata' hw.ata.ata_dma: 1 hw.ata.wc: 1 hw.ata.tags: 0 hw.ata.atapi_dma: 0 hw.atamodes: dma,---,pio,---, Attached is the output of dmesg.
