Thank you. Hmm.. Well, let's see. Here are my ideas, in no particular order: 1) check IRQ and port address 2) make sure you're using the right port (cuaa0 for COM1, cuaa1 for COM2, etc) 3) make sure that from within the ppp program disable lqr and deny lqr are set; I think they should be by default, but... 4) make sure that fter you dial in and connect, you hit ~p to put ppp into packet mode 5) make sure your setting for nameserver, domain, etc are done right 6) maybe try one of the mirror sites? Can you give me a little more info? like, exactly where does it break down? Does it dial? Can you hear the modems talking to each other? does it even run PPP? Is your modem detected during bootup? > John Sconiers II > > ********************************* > * M C S N E T * > * Johnathan Raymond Sconiers II * > * jrs@mcs.net * > ********************************* *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* | FreeBSD; the way computers were meant to be | * "The only reason I'm burning my candle at both ends, is * | that I haven't figured out how to light the middle yet."| * fullermd@futuresouth.com :-} MAtthew Fuller * | http://keystone.westminster.edu/~fullermd | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
